Alberta Sheriffs are donating over 11-thousand dollars to the Missing Children Society of Canada.
The funds were raised during two charity golf tournaments recently held by the group.
The society’s executive director Amanda Pick tells 660News the money will go a long way since they are one of the only organizations in Canada that has active investigations into missing children.
RCMP stats show in 2009 there were over 50-thousand missing person cases with 35-thousand of those listed as runaways that are usually found within 24 hours to a week.
However, there are hundreds of cases that don’t have the same result.
