Albertans shut out of oilsands expert panel

The province has left Albertans out of a panel set up to study how the oilsands industry affects water in the area.

Six experts will do an independent investigation of the oilsands, but none of them are based in this province.

The Calgary Herald reports the scientists come from other universities in Canada or are from the U.S.

The panel has been tasked with settling data from two conflicting reports on just how badly the oilsands impact the environment.
