There are some big shake-ups for a popular newscast in Calgary.
Tara Nelson, formerly with Global National, will now be the sole anchor on the 6:00 p.m. CTV newscast.
Darrel Janz, who has anchored the program for almost four decades, will now be hitting Calgary streets as a reporter.
On Tuesday night’s program, he talked about how excited he was.
“I wouldn’t have done this for 37 years if I didn’t enjoy it so much,” he says. “But getting out there and doing stories on Albertans and their success stories and the things that inspire us is what I’m looking forward to.”
Janz also anchored the program with Barb Higgins for 21 years, before she stepped down to run for mayor.
