Suncor launches big lawsuit

Suncor is firing off a massive lawsuit.

The Calgary-based energy giant is suing Propak Systems for breach of contract.

Suncor’s looking for $65-million from the Airdrie-based outfit.

A statement of claim obtained by The Calgary Sun says Propak was supposed to build parts for a sulphur recovery plant to reduce emissions into the environment.

Suncor claims the facility didn’t meet emission requirements by the time it was supposed to come on line because Propak hadn’t yet sent the right parts.
