Warm October helps road crews

All the mild weather we’ve had this month has been a boon for road construction crews in Calgary.

Trent Bancarz with Alberta Transportation tells 660News, it’s allowed them to make up for lost time earlier in the year.

Some of the projects wrapping up are the new interchange at Harvest Hills and Stoney Trail northwest, an extra lane on southbound Deerfoot Trail between Beddington Trail and 64 Avenue, and paving of a large stretch of south Deerfoot.

Bancarz says the budget has not been approved for next year, but some work that will be going ahead in the spring includes continuation of the southeast ring road, the interchange at Crowchild Trail and Stoney Trail.
