Alberta homeowners who have renovated since 2008 are the least likely in the country to have any debt left.
Seventy per cent of Alberta respondents to a new RBC home renovation survey have paid off their renovations.
That’s a national high.
Sixty per cent of renovators in the province managed to stay on budget, compared with just under half of average Canadians.
The survey also found more than half of Albertans plan to do some work on their home in the next two years.
RBC says it’s encouraging to see so many people making the smart financial decision of investing in their homes.
