Drugs, weapons & body armour seized in bust

Calgary police have seized drugs, weapons, cash and body armour after receiving a tip about possible drug-trafficking.

Police say they received a tip that drugs were being sold in the parking lot of the Trans Canada Mall.

With that tip, they launched an investigation which led to the search of two homes in the city’s northeast.

One of the homes was in the 1100 block of Marcombe Crescent N.E.   Inside, police say they discovered cash and body armour.

Police say several weapons, more than $10-thousand dollars in cash and illegal drugs were found, which lead to the arrests.   Another search was done of a home in the 900 block of 19 Street N.E.

Police have since arrested and charged two men in the city’s northeast with drug and weapons infractions.

Nabiel Ahmed ABDALLAH, 30, and Sakhr Adel JEHA (also known as Mike JEHA), 28, are both facing a combined total of 20 charges.

Both of the men charged are known to police.
