Alberta posts big retail gains

Shopping is booming in Alberta; the province is leading the country in gains for the retail sector.

Alberta was up six per cent in October over the same month in 2009.

That’s almost double the average national gain of 3.3 per cent.

Booze sales are also flowing well here.

Alcohol revenue also led the country, surging 8.3 per cent.
