Breathalyzer vendor being investigated

Health Canada is investigating a Calgary-based company that sells personal breathalyzers to ensure the company has the proper licence to sell the device.

Craig Atkinson is the president of Blow Before You Go International. He says he was shocked to learn of the Health Canada probe.

Atkinson tells the Calgary Sun, he negotiated the necessary red tape to get the licence he was told he needs.

But Health Canada now says the company only has a medical establishment licence and not a medical device certificate.
