CBE looks at all-boy school

Calgary’s public school board is considering a boys-only school.

The Board of Education will hold public meetings to gauge support for the idea.

A study the board commissioned last spring found a boys-only program would have ‘little’ benefit.

The Herald reports the CBE will hold two public meetings, Monday at Crescent Heights High School and Wednesday at Henry Wise Wood.

Both meetings start at 5:30.

The board currently has an all-girls school for grades four to nine.

The Catholic school board divided Sacred Heart School into boys’ and girls’ only classes in the fall.
