The Village Voice hosting Bob Dylan tribute

The United States’s largest weekly alternative newspaper is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s arrival in New York City with a week-long tribute.

The Village Voice plans to have local artists perform various Bob Dylan songs and
their website will post daily videos featuring interviews with shop keepers, as well as highlighting various city landmarks that played a part in the musician’s life.

According to The Voice, it’s a way to go beyond the written word and inside the music to give a better understanding of the relationship between the highly influential singer and the city that loved him.
