Del Pinto murder suspect convicted in second killing

The family of a Calgary man murdered in Thailand three years ago has learned the man accused of killing Leo Del Pinto has been convicted of another murder.
The police sergeant accused in Del Pinto’s murder has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for murdering his pregnant wife.
Ernie Del Pinto tells 660News it’s good to hear the sergeant is in prison, but he’s still waiting on justice for his son.
“This girl got murdered in September,” says Del Pinto. “In four months they had this case cut and dried, yet it’s taken me three years and I still don’t have a trial date.”
He adds his family has been frustrated by numerous paperwork delays in his son’s case and it doesn’t seem like there is an end in sight.
