Environmental bill of rights vote

Environmental groups are urging all Members of Parliament to turn out for an important vote.
Tonight MP’s will be asked to give more time to amend Bill C-469.
The Bill, designed to better protect Canadian air, land and water, has already received 1st and 2nd readings, but without amendments likely won’t have a chance for a third reading and passage.
The Executive Director of Sierra Club Canada says at the moment the prosecution of polluters is pretty much a discretionary call.
John Bennett tells 660News, the Environmental Bill of Rights would change that by forcing politicians to act to protect our natural resources.
