CRTC will delay the change to Internet billing practices for 60 days

The chairman of the CRTC says the agency will delay for at least 60 days a controversial decision on Internet billing practices.
Konrad von Finckenstein says the commission will use the time to review the ruling.
Von Finckenstein is telling MPs that the decision to allow major Internet service providers to change how they charge for data was made with the best interests of consumers in mind.
But the decision has produced much public complaint and the Harper government has been asking the commission to re-consider.
Industry Minister Tony Clement has said the government was ready to step in if the commission refused to take another look at the issue.
The decision was to go into effect March 1, but has now been put off until at least May 1.
