SQUAMISH (NEWS1130) – People across the region are not giving up their fight for justice in the slaughter of 100 sled dogs near Whistler. Another rally is set for this weekend in Squamish.
Organizer Michael Enders says the inspiration came from the “Barking Mad” tweet up/meet up last weekend in West Vancouver. “We will be taking a walk from the Squamish Elementary School, then heading downtown to Stan Clark Park where a petition will be available to sign.”
“What we’re trying to do is create awareness and show that Squamish supports those dogs,” he says. “[That Squamish] supports an investigation, and wants to see the best outcome possible and justice prevail.”
In addition to the petition, Enders says they will raise money for the a SPCA. Enders is asking anyone who wants to take part to bring their dogs, make signs and show their support for the sled dogs who lost their lives.
