Canada Olympic Park looking to add commercial space

Healthy living retail stores, restaurants and a number of hotels could be added to Canada Olympic Park.
WinSport Canada, who owns the park, has sent a proposal to the city to allow a developer to build a 400-thousand square foot commercial space on land between the ski-hill and Sarcee Trail.
Spokesperson Tracy Cobb tells 660News, the addition is intended to provide an ongoing source of income for the park and also increase traffic to the area.
She adds, “We’re hoping it just brings a whole new exciting area to come to the park. It’s a whole new development that will have opportunities for our guests to enjoy.”
An open house will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd from 5:00-8:00pm in the Festival Tent at C.O.P.
