3 Alberta men die in avalanche

Crews have recovered the bodies of three Alberta men who died in an avalanche near Golden, B.C.
The avalanche occurred late Saturday burying a total of four snowmobilers, all from Alberta.
The RCMP say it appears the avalanche was triggered when the snowmobilers were high-marking, seeing how high they could make it up the mountain on their machines.
A second group of four snowmobilers who witnessed the slide dug out all four who were buried, but only one was found alive.
The deceased include, two fathers, aged 48 and 50, and a son in his 20’s.
The man who survived was another son, also in his 20’s.
He’s been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries and shock.
No names have been released. All four caught in the slide are from Halkirk, Alberta.
