Calgary Roughnecks appeal for financial help

The owner and general manager of the Calgary Roughnecks is pleading for corporate sponsors to jump on board before the team goes under.
Brad Banister tells 660News he hopes Calgarians step up to preserve one of Canada’s two national sports in our city.
“This is our heritage. This is where we started. We didn’t start playing hockey. We started playing lacrosse and you know there’s a history with Native Americans that goes back hundreds of years. This is our sport,” he says.
Banister adds if some backers don’t come out soon, the league leading team may not be able to finish out the season.
