Calgarians are expected to continue shelling out a pretty penny at the pumps over the next few weeks.
One of the co-founders of Gasbuddy.com, Dustin Coupal, tells 660News gas prices could rise higher.
“I think in the immediate future, the next day or two, I suspect you’re going to see some increase in Calgary, probably into that $1.12, maybe $1.15 range. My best guess would be by next week to see prices start to lip off and potentially toward the end of March, maybe decrease a little bit.”
Coupal says there are many reasons for the increased pump prices, including the instability of the global market and the turmoil in the Middle East.
He adds Calgarians actually have some of the cheapest gas in the country. The average cost in Vancouver is $1.24.
The average Canadian pump price is $1.14.
