More K-Country campsites coming

Kananaskis Country could be getting 200 new campsites by early 2012.

Alberta’s parks minister says she wants to add the extra facilities in K-Country to accommodate the province’s booming population.

Cindy Ady tells The Calgary Herald they have plans to bolster the campsites at places like Canoe Meadows on Highway 40.

There are currently 2,500 sites in the area. She’s set to announce a 60-day consultation period on the plan Friday.
