Northwest drug store robbed

OxyContin seems to be the drug of choice when it comes to thieves robbing pharmacies.

In the latest case, a man went into the Paragon Drug Store in the 1900 block of Uxbridge Drive northwest Friday around 7:30 pm.

He was armed with a taser and demanded several drugs, including OxyContin, and fled once the demand was granted.

Duty Inspector James Hardy tells 660News OxyContin is popular for several reasons, calling it a “poor man’s heroine”.

The man is described as around 6 feet tall, had a medium build and was wearing a black hoodie, a red baseball hat, a bandana and blue jeans.

He drove away in a stolen green Ford F 350 truck that was found a short distance from the pharmacy.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or police.
