Hockey respect program gets results

It looks like a program to promote respect in minor hockey is working.
Hockey Calgary President Perry Cavanaugh tells The Calgary Herald they’ve noticed a lot less yelling and idiotic behaviour from parents and coaches since introducing the “Respect in Sport” program.
The campaign’s mandatory courses were put in place at the beginning of the current season to teach parents and coaches sportsmanship.
Mount Royal University will now measure how well the program does over the next three years.
Researchers will do that through interviews and surveys of those taking part.
