MLA wants zero tolerance for young drivers

A Calgary Liberal MLA wants to crack down on the potentially deadly combination of young drivers and booze.
Kent Hehr, who was paralyzed in a shooting, is urging the province to bring in a zero tolerance policy on alcohol consumption for all drivers under 21-years-old.
He tells The Calgary Sun if you start young, it becomes ingrained that drinking and driving is unacceptable.
The transportation minister says zero tolerance is not necessary.
He says there are already restrictions for new drivers under Alberta’s graduated licensing system.
