Escaped Drumheller prisoner faces more charges

A man on the lam after escaping from the Drumheller Correctional Centre is facing a number of new charges for holding a man at gunpoint for hours on end.
Police say a 72-year-old man was confronted by William Bicknell at his farm in Vegreville on Monday.
Bicknell pointed a long-barrelled gun at the man then held him hostage for ten hours.
RCMP Sgt. Tim Taniguchi tells 660News, Bicknell is facing four new charges including kidnapping with a firearm and unlawful confinement with a firearm.
Bicknell allegedly told the man after releasing him, to not report the incident for several days.
Police believe Bicknell is in the Peace River area and is driving a grey Chevy Impala with the license plate number CXE 602.
