Friends of a Calgary woman found murdered in Ontario say the sex trade worker may have been murdered by a “bad date.”
Kera Freeland had been working for an escort agency in the Toronto area for several months.
The Calgary Herald reports the 20-year-old was apparently pregnant and had recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Her body was found in a ditch about 60 kms north of Toronto last Thursday.
The Calgary Sun reports she had called her roommate that night to say she was having a bad date and planned to leave the man and return home.
