Calgary escort may have been murdered on “bad date”

Friends of a Calgary woman found murdered in Ontario say the sex trade worker may have been murdered by a “bad date.”

Kera Freeland had been working for an escort agency in the Toronto area for several months.

The Calgary Herald reports the 20-year-old was apparently pregnant and had recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Her body was found in a ditch about 60 kms north of Toronto last Thursday.

The Calgary Sun reports she had called her roommate that night to say she was having a bad date and planned to leave the man and return home.
