Melting snow could lead to basement flooding

Area residents are being warned to make sure pools of water aren’t forming around homes.
Chris Houston with the city tells 660News, to avoid flooding in your basement ensure water is draining away from your house.
“We do have all our crews out trying to keep these catch basins clear and keep up with it as quickly as we can. we prioritize them based on priorities,” says Houston.
He adds if you notice pools of water forming on your property or on city streets, you should call 311 immediately.
