Police standoff ends peacefully

A six hour police standoff ended peacefully Monday night.

A man who barricaded himself inside a house on 66th avenue southeast was taken into custody.

Police tried to arrest the suspect on multiple criminal warrants outside the home just after 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.

Instead of surrendering, he ran inside and barricaded the door.

The Police Tactical Unit set up containment and arrested the man at around 10:30 Monday night.
