City’s public input forums wrap up

A slate of forums seeking public input from Calgarians about city services has wrapped up.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi says attendance could’ve been better, but, overall he feels officials will get at least get a good idea where Calgarians stand on where they want their city to go.
“Attendance has been up and down and I wish the attendance had been higher overall but I know people have really been participating over a lot of different media. I’m just looking forward to setting aside a bunch of hours to really immerse myself in the results and find out what Calgarians are thinking,” says Nenshi.
“And you know, our members of council have good ideas, too, so they’re all going to go into the mix, all part of the process as we make decisions over the next few months,” he says.
The overall results will be presented to city council in June as the mayor and alderman consider the city’s priorities for the next three years.
If people couldn’t get to the five community forums they could also provide input online.
