The Liberal election campaign is getting boost of political star power. Former prime minister Paul Martin joins Michael Ignatieff while in Edmonton today.
It’s a move that appears to be set up to remind voters that the Liberals have killed the deficit in the past.
In Vancouver, Stephen Harper is defending pay raises for political staffers at a time of budget belt-tightening.
Elsewhere —- New Democrat Leader Jack Layton is on the campaign trail in Newfoundland. The Bloq’s Gilles Dueceppe is in Quebec City and Green leader Elizabeth May is in B.C.
