It seems everyone suddenly has Jack Layton in their sights as we head into the final week of the federal election campaign.
With the NDP surging in Quebec and gaining ground elsewhere, Tory leader Stephen Harper went on the offensive on Saturday in Campbell River, BC.
The Conservative candidate is in a tough fight there with the NDP.
The Liberals, meanwhile, have launched an attack against the NDP.
Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff says Jack Layton’s campaign promise numbers don’t add up.
Meanwhile, the Bloc Quebecois is scrambling to roll back the new democrat tide in the province.
Some polls suggest the new democrats are threatening many Bloc-held ridings.
Leader Gilles Duceppe tried to rally his supporters by posting a note on twitter calling the election a battle between Quebec and Canada.
But Duceppe later erased that note and replaced it with a more toned-down appeal for sovereigntists to back his party.
