Pilot dies in small plane crash

A pilot has died in the crash of his small plane near the B.C.-Alberta boundary.

The RCMP say the pilot was the only person aboard the Cessna 180, which was reported overdue on a flight from southern Alberta to B.C.’s central interior.

A Parks Canada search team found the wreckage of the plane on Mt. King in Yoho National Park.

The pilot’s dog was also killed in the crash.

The man’s name has not been released and it’s not known what caused the crash.
