Mock election held in Calgary school

Some students in Calgary will be making their choices for Canada’s next government on Thursday.
At St. Albert the Great School in the southeast community of McKenzie Towne, kids from Kindergarten to Grade 9 are voting in a mock election.
Older students are teaching the youngsters about the different parties involved.
Grade 7 student Julia Kaiser tells 660News the kids can’t wait to cast a ballot because “it makes them feel like they’re treated as a grown up.”
The student vote is part of a program being run by Elections Canada.
The results of the vote won’t be released until Tuesday morning, after the real results are out.
