After-school pilot project celebrates success

The United Way of Calgary, its partner agencies and Mayor Nenshi gathered to recognize a successful teen pilot project Thursday.
The City’s adoption of the after-school program, Teenzone was also celebrated at the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary in the northeast.
The United Way’s Joey Sarpal tells 660News, they’re thrilled with the project’s success after three years.
Teenzone funded 17 new or enhanced programs and supported more than 900 at-risk youth who participated.
The program ensures all kids grow up with numerous positive opportunities so they can reach their full potential.
