Emergency preparedness week kicks off

Is your family prepared to deal with an emergency?
Sunday marks the beginning of the 15th annual Emergency Preparedness Week and Public Safety Canada is recommending all families know the risks, have a plan and get a survival kit in case of a natural disaster.
The natural disasters most likely to occur in Alberta range from avalanches to floods, to tornadoes and wildfires.
Public Safety Canada also recommends all families should have a basic emergency kit that includes water, food that won’t spoil, a flashlight, battery operated radio and a first aid kit.
