Local theatre group to host Irish Theatre Festival

The Irish from as far away as Dublin, will be invading Calgary for an international theatre festival.
To start the shenanigans, the Liffey Players Drama Society has opened their production of “The Seafarer” a story about drunk Irishmen playing cards with the devil, until May 14th at the Irish Cultural Centre in the city’s northwest community of Bowness.
Corey Taylor with the Society tells 660News, there’s even more entertainment after the play with a singalong, live music and a few pints.
The Acting Irish International Theatre Festival runs from May 16th through the 21st at Vertigo Theatre downtown at the base of the Calgary Tower.
