Hidden Valley gas leak

A natural gas leak in Hidden Valley Sunday afternoon caused a one hour evacuation of four homes.

The line was severed by a person digging an hole with a shovel.

ATCO was able to clamp the leak safely and residents were allowed back in their homes shortly after.

The fire department would like to remind home owners and contractors to have utilities located and marked in order to avoid this type of incident.
