A southern Alberta woman been sentenced to 60 days in jail for her part in a home invasion in Langdon three years ago, where one of the home invaders ended up dead.
Angela Eriksen of Carseland admits she drove her brother and his friend to her ex-boyfriend’s house in the middle of the night, back in 2008.
Eriksen, who was seven months pregnant at the time, says she never participated in the home invasion at Dan Olineck’s house.
When Eriksen’s brother and his friend put on masks and entered Olineck’s house they were met by the homeowner, who also had a knife.
Lance Norton was killed during the break-in and attack, by Olineck, as he defended his home.
Justice Marsha Erb says Angela Eriksen will serve her sentence on weekends and will also face one year of probation.
