Boo’s back!

Guess who’s back in his enclosure at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, British Columbia?

After wandering the wilderness for nearly a week, it’s Boo the Bear who also managed to escape his home at the resort five years ago.

This time, Boo, who was orphaned at an early age when his mother was shot dead illegally by a hunter, was found about 800 metres from his home near the town’s ski hill.

At 295 kilograms, the 9-year-old grizzly had to be tranquilized after being located by a helicopter crew.

It’s believed the bear managed to dig his way out because he was lovestruck in the spring, but his freedom lasted as long as Steve McQueen’s in the famous movie “The Great Escape.”

Resort spokesman Jordan Petrovics tells the Calgary Herald, he thinks Boo just wanted to see what it was like on the other side, adding “he was kind of lost, and looking for his way home.”

But it turns out, Boo was travelling solo, perhaps playing the field — or in this case, the mountains.
