Calgary’s 17th Avenue is being highlighted in this month’s Chatelaine Magazine.
Calgarian and International top model Heather Marks has a column in this month’s issue and lists her top six favourite locations on the Red Mile.
Marks lists shoe store Gravity Pope and Rubaiyat for its one-of-a-kind jewellery.
Morgan Haight, a manager at Rubaiyat tells 660News they’re honoured to have made the cut, and says hopefully it will pique people’s interest.
“Hopefully it’ll introduce us to a new clientele, and then for our others that’ll remind them to come back in,” she says. “It’s also great for a lot of the local artists that we support to just have that press.”
In the column Marks says, “I cherish a vintage locket I bought there.”
Haight says each one of their pieces is unique.
“We get them from all over the world,” says Haight. “The majority is Canadian or American and one-of-a-kind pieces, we do travel to visit the actual artist and then select the pieces that they have, so they’re really special and who ever gets them should cherish them. So it’s great to hear that she does.”
Marks also chooses Caffe Beano, the Coup and the Living Room for their great drinks and dishes.
Marks has modelled for companies like Badgley Mischka, Emporio Armani and Jimmy Choo.
