Medicine Hat daycare worker will stand trial

A judge ruled Monday a 24-year-old Medicine Hat woman charged with failing to provide the necessities of life and manslaughter will stand trial.
Erin Jackman was charged in July of 2010 after police say the toddler died of blunt force trauma to the head while attending Jackman’s day home.
The decision comes following a four day preliminary hearing.
An August 18 arraignment has been set for the accused.
