Four men charged with drug trafficking

Four men are charged with drug trafficking, with more charges pending against several others after police busted a heroin trafficking cell.

Police say thirty-two-year-old Sandeep Saini, 31-year-old Amarjeet Sandhu, 20-year-old Abdullah Irshad and 23-year-old Gurpreet Warring were arrested Wednesday.

They face several counts of drug trafficking and possessing proceeds of crime.

The three-month-long investigation saw five homes searched, along with one business and five vehicles.

Police found about $5,000 worth of heroin, $4,600 worth of marijuana and $120 in ecstasy.

They also recovered about $40,000 in Canadian cash, and $3,500 in U.S. currency.
