Striking Canada Post workers ordered back to work

The mail should start moving again Tuesday now that the Harper government’s back-to-work bill is a done deal.
The NDP tried to stall its passage, arguing the bill tramples worker’s rights, but in the end the majority Conservatives pushed it through.
The postal workers were locked out after staging rotating strikes for almost two weeks.
The government claimed the dispute was threatening Canada’s fragile economic recovery.
C.U.P.W. President Denis Lemelin says union members will obey the back-to-work order.
But he says the union will examine the legislation to see if has any holes to exploit, and will take an aggressive stance during the upcoming arbitration process.
Lemelin adds that he sees the back-to-work order as a shot across labour’s bow by the Harper Conservatives.
He predicts it’ll serve as a call to arm’s for unions to become more involved in the political process in defense of their member’s quality of life.
