Pre-Stampede breakfast for KidSport

The cowboy duds came out early for the first Stampede breakfast of the season even though the big show is still two days away.

Hundreds yee-hawed their way to Spolumbos in Inglewood Wednesday morning for the second annual Stampapalooza for KidSport.

The sausage party was co-hosted by former alderman Joe Connelly and Spolumbo’s Tony Spoletini, who says the pair share a passion for the cause.

Spoletini says, as affluent as Calgary is, there are still too many kids who can’t afford to play sports.

“I mean KidSport enables those kids from lower socio-economic backgrounds to have an opportunity to play and that’s what I think we all believe in, is that every child should have the right to play any sport they want,” says Spoletini.

He says Stampapalooza is now an annual event.
