Parade safety

With tens of thousands of people expected downtown for the Stampede Parade Friday morning, EMS is ready.

EMS Spokesman Adam Loria tells 660News it’s also a good idea to bring two pairs of shoes in case of blisters.

To protect against the sun and the heat, Loria suggests drinking a lot of water, reapplying sun screen throughout the day and wearing a hat and sunglasses.

In case of an emergency, call 911 and some of the many paramedics on the parade route will come to help.

A field hospital staffed with doctors and paramedics will be set up on 8th Avenue between 4th and 5th Street southeast.
