Harper under fire for comments during Stampede BBQ

The Prime Minister is getting some heat from opposition MP’s after remarks he made over the weekend at his Annual Riding Association Stampede Barbeque.

He told about 900 supporters his party earned the trust of Canadian voters, marking the end of the Liberal party’s grip on Canadian politics.

Harper also said NDP gains in Quebec would be short-lived once the honeymoon phase ends.

NDP MP Joe Comartin tells The Globe and Mail Harper’s arrogance is the same quality that led to the downfall of the Liberals.

Interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae said the PM’s hubris highlights his political divisiveness.
