Three people go before a judge in Lethbridge on Wednesday to face charges relating to an alleged ponzi scheme that defrauded one investor of over a half-million dollars.
According to police, 42-year-old Anthony Pittarelli and 36-year-old Claudia Pittarelli have been arrested.
The first to be taken in on these charges a couple weeks ago was 64-year-old Marisa Campanelli-Pittarelli.
The investment offered a high rate of return through reselling event tickets.
The problem is, there was allegedly no legitimate resale business, and investors were paid using other investors’ money.
