Ford issues a recall on Canadian trucks

Ford is recalling more than a million of its popular pickup trucks because their gas tanks can fall off and cause a fire.
That includes 120,000 trucks here in Canada.
It’s recalling certain Ford F-150, F-250 and Lincoln Blackwood pickups that were sold in areas where salt is used to clear roads.
The salt can corrode straps holding the tanks in place.
The recall affects trucks from the 1997 through 2004 model years.
Ford reports eight incidents of the tanks falling off resulting in three injuries.
In one case, someone suffered first and second degree burns.
