As of Thursday, WestJet will waive baggage fees for Canadian Military personnel travelling in uniform.
Executive VP, Sales, Marketing and Guest Experience, Bob Cummings says they are “Immensely proud of the men and women who serve our country and recognize that they are often required to travel across the country at a moments notice and with a lot of baggage.”
From now on, Military personnel will be allowed to check in a maximum of four bags at no additional cost and oversize, overweight charges will also be waived.
Cummings adds, he hopes this small gesture will make their travel experience a little easier.
