Baby attacked in Cranston

Detectives are investigating the slashing of a six-month-old baby.
Calgary Police say the child was rushed to hospital with critical stab wounds Saturday morning, but is now reported in stable condition.
The call came in around 4 a.m. from the community of Cranston, on the city’s far south end.
When police arrived at the scene in the 1,000 block of Cranston Drive S.E., they arrested a man they describe as ‘agitated.’
A baby had been slashed several times and was rushed to hospital.
Investigators believe other individuals live in the home and police say need to speak with them as soon as possible. It’s not known if anyone else was at home at the time of the incident, but police didn’t find anyone else when they arrived.
Neighbours tell 660News, they heard yelling, screaming and cursing in the area at the time of the attack.
