AMA bracing drivers for distracted driving law

The AMA is turning up the heat on drivers ahead of the province’s distracted diving law coming into effect.
Starting September 1st, anyone deemed to be driving while not paying attention can be fined $172.
The AMA will be starting a pledge campaign later this month asking people to commit to driving distraction-free.
Calgary police are also asking drivers to use common sense when it comes to distracted driving, and it looks like people are getting that message.
